JULY 2020

Dear Art Nouveau lovers,

We are happy to be back here and to share always more Art nouveau news with you !
It's been a long time since our last newsletter in June 2019. During this past year, we prepared and celebrated our 20th anniversary and we have been working on our brand new website !

The highlight of this anniversary year, an international symposium dedicated to the theme "The interiors of Art nouveau period : analyse, restore, make accessible" was organised in Brussels by RANN in partnership with urban.brussels, the CIVA and the Horta Museum on 29 and 30 November 2019. We had the pleasure of welcoming a large and international audience, a great success for our 20th anniversary!
The proceedings will be published shortly and available in free access for the public in digital version on our website, stay tuned. They will be officially presented at our next General Assembly in Nancy in November. In the meantime, don't miss the videos of the speeches in free access on our YouTube channel!

Our website has been fully redesigned! Discover our institutional members and now also our individual members. Become a member and exchange with our entire Art Nouveau community thanks to the discussion forums. The site is also a fabulous research and information tool thanks to our various databases.

Finally, in recent months, the various sectors of culture, research, and education have been slowed down, if not halted, and the Réseau Art Nouveau Network and its members have been no exception. However, they have vied with each other in creativity and ingenuity to keep Art Nouveau alive through various activities. Enjoy this summer!

Armand Rassenfosse (1862 - 1934). A so special drawing at the Artistic Heritage Association in Brussels

Poster_exhibition_rassenfosse_APA_2020
Modesty is at the heart of Rassenfosse's work, which explored all its facets, nuances and limits, with extraordinary consistency and continuity. This attitude makes him an artist out of time, entirely given over to a carnal passion, very controlled, subtle, showing himself to be full of restraint, as if to make it last, without wanting to exhaust it by the slightest excess.
