Giovanni Boldini. Il Piacere, at the MART in Rovereto (Italy)

The exhibition Giovanni Boldini. Il Piacere presents more than 150 artworks from public and private collections, many of them coming from the Boldini Museum in Ferrara, closed to the public after the 2012 earthquake. At the Mart, the artist’s activity is reconstructed through a rich chronological path, which allows an in-depth examination of certain themes and relationships that marked the Italian master’s career. In particular, the artist’s relationship with the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio will be analysed, through the figures of common inspirational muses such as Marchesa Casati, eccentric and seductive femme fatale.

Due to the pandemic, the exhibition is currently closed to the public. Nevertheless, it is possible to visit the exhibition virtually with a guided tour (in italian) led by Beatrice Avanzi, curator, and Annalisa Casagranda, head of projects for the public in the Education Area.
