Bildarchiv Foto Marburg - GERMANY

The archive contains art historical documentation photo material in different format (glass prints, films etc.- mainly black-and-white), including about 1,5 million documents. The main focus is on art and architecture in Germany and Europe. A large part of the collection is digitally available on the internet, on the Bildindex der Kunst und Architectur.

UNESCO – ICOMOS – Documentation Centre - FRANCE

The UNESCO-ICOMOS documentation centre specializes in architectural heritage, preservation and restoration, monuments and historical sites. The international documentary fund counts today 40.000 books about most of the countries in the world; a collection of 400 periodicals ; 25.000 dias, photos and maps; original files for the listing of monuments, blocks and cultural sites on the list of the UNESCO world heritage. The documentation centre owns library collections specialized in: industrial architecture, vernacular architecture, rock art, wood, bricks, training, management of archeological heritage, inventories, cultural routes, gardens and historical parks, legislation, world heritage monuments and sites, endangered heritage and preparation to risks, industrial heritage, subaquatic heritage, cultural landscapes, photogrammetry, stone and other building materials, cultural tourism, town planning, cities and historical villages.

Maurice Denis Museum – Library - FRANCE

The library counts around 10.000 books, exhibition catalogues, periodicals, original editions, as well as an important fund of books illustrated by symbolist and nabi artists. The documentation centre contains worksn artists and thematic files, an important archive of manuscripts (about 15,000 letters) as well as a rich collection of newspapers and journals from the end of 19th century to now.
The library access is open to researchers and students with appointments only.

Since the creation of the photographic service in 1972, Les Arts Décoratifs holds a first class collection in line with the documentary policy of the establishment and completes the documentary services of the museums. Through its actions and communication policies, the photographic service makes the rich collections of the museums known to a larger public and contributes to the influence of the decorative arts.

Les Arts Décoratifs – Library - FRANCE

Les Arts Décoratifs is a documentation centre for researchers, university students, historians, art critics and designers. The collection complements the general catalogues of the library of Arts décoratifs.
Created over several decades with the growth of certain collections or the creation of specialised departments, the documentation centre hosts different collections and offers advice to the general public on documentary collections on decorative arts from the 17th and 18th centuries to modern and contemporary arts and includes glass, toys, textile fashion and commercial advertisements.

INHA- Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art - FRANCE

The library of the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art includes the collections of three major art libraries:

Later the Bibliothèque de l’Ecole nationale des Chartes (149,000 documents) will join with its collections.
On its opening, the total collection will contain approximately 1 340,000 documents.
These collections and the associated services are available in the historic Labrouste room of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and on the four floors of the adjacent rooms.
A large part of the collections (approximately 275,000 documents) will be available to the general public, free of charge.

Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine – Archive - FRANCE

The archive of architecture is a very important element in the writing of the history of architecture, in the renewal of architectural and urban approaches, in the exchange of experiences. Since the beginning of the 1980s, the Centre of Architecture Archive from the XXth century, created by the French Institute for Architecture, played a main role in their taking in account by the State.
