Reopening of the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow

01/07/2018

This A listed building is internationally recognised as the only surviving Tea Rooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and where he had complete control over both the interior and exterior design. It is also regarded as one of the finest examples in the world of a complete Art Nouveau scheme.

The building has undergone extensive restoration to return it to its former glory and to create a new integrated Visitor Centre including Retail, Conference, Exhibition and Learning and Education facilities in the adjacent building at 215 Sauchiehall Street.

Reopened from July 2018, there is a phased opening throughout summer 2018 with all areas fully open from September 2018. The Tea Rooms and Retail Store are currently open. The Exhibition Centre is open from August 2018.
